Roadside Attraction (Largest)

Build It And They Will Come

It would be FANTASTIC if Claremont residents united to build a large roadside attraction which would help to make the town famous.  How about constructing a road side attraction so large it entices cars to pull over and people get a photo with the roadside attraction.  All ideas are welcome. Who dares to take on the challenge to lead in the creation of a Claremont Town Icon lasting for many decades.

Suggestion:  Maybe we can use some of the school lumber from the Claremont Public School demolition to build the new Claremont Roadside Attraction?

School Events

2016 - Tear Down half of the school

It's true, one of the events for 2017 is to tear down part of the school.  During the Claremont Reunion on Sat June 11, 2016 you will have a chance to walk through the building and take pictures of the old section for the last time.

Suggestion:  Maybe we can use some of the school lumber from the Claremont Public School demolition to build the new Claremont Roadside Attraction?

Many events at the school and photos of the amazing students attending grade school this year are called out in the school's monthly newsletter.  You can read the newsletter and the upcoming events here.

Yard Sale (Annual) (Claremont Ontario Canada)

Held on the 2nd Saturday of June

Claremont is well known in the local area for its annual "Yard Sale Day", an event where all residents are invited to host simultaneous garage/yard sales. The sale is typically held on the second or third Saturday of June and has been known to draw well over 1000 visitors and bargain hunters to the small hamlet. Due to its popularity, the annual event also spawns fundraisers, BBQs, and other community gatherings.
