Murdered and drowned at age 39 in Algonquin Park

Grandparents immigrated from Europe to Claremont in 1830, his dad John was born in the Claremont farm house as was Tom

8 siblings, each played instruments, Tom played violin & mandolin in the village band (picture of siblings)

Not part of the famous "Group of Seven" but Thomson introduced them to Algonquin Park and inspired them, Group of Seven was formed in 1920 which was 3 years after Tom Thomson's death
