Bill Hammond was the Crossing Guard for the Claremont Public School (CPS).  

 

We will reach out to his family to request a biography of Bill including family photos.

 

We presume he also attended CPS when he was young since he lived in town all his life.  We are unsure how many years he was the Crossing Guard and what year he retired. 

 

Bill's parents were Tom & Ella May (Prouse), Bill's brothers were Alfred, Bob, Glenn (deceased) & sister Gwen.   

 

Bill passed away in 2015.  The Claremont Enquirer posted the information on our facebook page and received an overwhelming response of people with kind words regarding their memory of interacting with Bill while they attended CPS.  Bill made an positive impact on their lives, we hope he was aware of that.
